Last Long Weekend Of January
So it’s long weekend for us again!
I LOVE that January is a party month here
in The Dominican Republic, it’s been a very COOL month I must admit! I’ll be going to Cayo Arena near Monte Cristi and I promise to post a lot of pictures of the AMAZING
paradise!
Remember to drive safely, wear
sunscreen, and look ABSOLUTELY fabulous!!

Man VS Nature
Today’s photo shoot is one of my
favorites ever! My friend Dak,
whom I LOVE, took these photos for the same assignment I showed yesterday. Dak is one of
the sweetest people I’ve ever met.
She interpreted this assignment in
different way: nature vs. man. She
tried to create a nature look and then a more structured one.
I think she actually totally
pulled it off! What do you all
think?
I am wearing a bathing suit made
of leaves, SO FUN to make!

Geisha at Altos de Chavón
This was my second shoot at Altos de Chavón. We had to portray a
person inside and out. I chose the
Geisha theme, showing how the geisha looked and how she really felt inside.
I just ADORED this shoot, it was
so COOL to look deeper into a photo shoot to see something under the surface.
Hope you like the photos!

Hippie Chavon
Hello, my amazing THN readers… I’m
back! First let me start today’s
post by thanking Jenny Perusek, THN editor, for taking over the blog this
week. She posted such AMAZING
ideas for news for the blog!
My first post back (and a few more to come) will show the photo shoots from my
course at Altos de Chavón, here in The Dominican Republic. This was definitely a ONCE IN A LIFETIME
experience for me. If you ever
have the chance to take this course, DO IT! During my course, I met some of the nicest and most creative
people, which made the entire experience totally worth it!
So here is my first photo shoot
for all of you . I call this my NEON
HIPPIE LOOK. My friend Allyson was wearing a Forever 21
blouse and a Zara headband.
I hope you all enjoy the photos…
stay tuned for more!

Radiant Kim
Kim Khardashian was looking radiant today in Los Angeles. She is rocking the hippie-chic look with her flowing locks, cut-out sweater, and lovely gold headpiece... I think I even spot some black nail polish too...

Oh Sweetie, Darling
When I saw this, I just knew I had to share it! One of my favorite shows when I was younger was Absolutely Fabulous. This British comedy was hilarious, and to be honest, completely inappropriate for a child to watch. And the two main actresses wore the most amazing clothes!
Nonetheless, Decades Inc. has a new window at their store dedicated to Ab Fab. It honors the show perfectly, showing the pattern-crazy style of Edie and the sexy style of Patsy... I'm in love!

Thank God for Gwen!
The Hippie Nerd, and myself, are both huge fans of
. Well, our lady Gwen has done it again! Straight of her adorable for is finally releasing a line of jewelry for , in collaboration with Noir Jewelry.
Inspired by India, these pieces are definitely showstoppers. Normally I would say to wear these beauties with black to let them be the star, but they are just screaming for bright colors... neon, maybe?

Glam Denim
Leave it to Vogue China to make denim look utterly high-end. The magazine featured model Jing Ma (almost unrecognizable as a blonde) in a denim-themed editorial in its February 2012 issue.
I absolutely adore these denim looks, especially the light-wash denim skirt paired with a white short-sleeved shirt. This look is so effortlessly chic...

Rory Beca
Have you heard of Rory Beca? Well, I have a feeling you will be hearing that name a lot more soon. She is one of my favorite new (to me) designers and she is already making a splash in the fashion world.
I just love her effortless, clean aesthetic. Her pieces aren't fussy, just completely chic.
Rory Beca designs for women who use clothing to express themselves and who love to travel... the perfect choice for the THN girl.
You can find Rory Beca's pieces at Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and many other places (even Forever 21). Also, check out her website, it is just adorable.
Enjoy these photos from the Rory Beca Holiday 2011 collection!

The Royal Men of Prada
I am now officially in love with Miuccia Prada. She just showed her Fall 2012 menswear collection at Milan Men's Fashion Week and it was amazing!
At first I just loved it because it looked straight out of Edwardian England, with its double-breasted jackets, vests, and ascots. But as I took a closer look I saw the mix of patterns, colors, and textures... Miuccia made this vintage style look thoroughly modern and cool. Certainly not an easy feat.
Recognize some of the famous faces on the runway? Miuccia add some major star power to her show by using some very distinguished actors as models, like Tom Ford did with his first womenswear collection. These men made these outfits look better than any male model could.
You all should check out the full collection here.
Enjoy!
