Milan Fashion Week Details

The THN Milan Fashion Week Correspondent, Brianna, has sent us an update and some LOVELY photos from Milan. 

As always, it’s all in the details!  Here are the details I’ve been seeing inside and outside the Milan runways:

Envelope bags
Wearing more than 1 bag at a time (one large bag/one small clutch)
Ray-Bans (still in fashion J)
Accessory covers for phones/notebooks
Real or faux fur vests
The mixing of red, orange, and pink
The very-Milanese style everywhere

Everyone was looking amazing and ready for the shows, but we didn’t spot anything different or over the top.  There have been better styles before during Milan Fashion Week… wonder what happened this time around?

Milan Fashion Week

There’s a certain feeling that overcomes the city of Milan when Fashion Week begins.  For me, it's like waking up on Christmas morning, the excitement is just unbearable as I walk briskly down the street on my way to the shows.  

People are moving a bit faster, traffic a bit slower, but most of all, there is many more well dressed people surrounding me in the metro (as compared to the usual puffy-jacket filled crowd).  The weather may be chilly, but that hasn't stopped the fashion industry from invading Milan for the week. 

The John Richmond show at Castello Sforzesco had quite the mixture of people.  Bustling photographers fighting for the perfect shot mixed with confused tourists stumbling into photos and, unknowingly, standing next to fashion legends.  Ah yes, of course, the fashion trendsetters were there to give the world a sneak peek at upcoming trends and future “wearable” looks (some looks not so much). 

It being the first day of fashion week, there were lots of exchanges of hellos and small chitchat among buyers and member of the press while they were waiting outside the tent.  Other individuals, like me, enjoyed the observing the spectacle from a distance.  The mood of the photography was one of capturing these moments while not missing the fabulous fashion of course. 

Inside the show, the music by DJ Morgan was impeccable, creating hype as the models glided down the runway. The looks were nice but in my opinion, DJ Morgan, you stole the show.

The Next Hippie Market

The next Hippie Market for this Spring/Summer is only one month away!!  You guys will not want to miss it!

At the March 23^rd event, there will be over 30 different types of merchandise, good music and an AMAZING atmosphere.  The first THN BAZAAR was such a success that I decided to hold another event for you all.  And since spring break is right around the corner, you’ll find some WONDERFUL beauties for the beach…

The Perfect Spring Blazer

You all know how much I LOVE blazers!  Well, luckily, I have found the perfect blazer for spring, thanks to the my COOL HUNTING at Zara.

This beauty has a SWEET color and is made of such SOFT fabric.  You can wear it day or night, mixing it with white or even BRIGHT colors.

I just FELL IN LOVE with this blazer, would you all rock this piece?

SHAVEURLEGZ-- The Knocks

SHAVEURLEGZ does it again!  Another AMAZING party at Juanillo beach in Punta Cana.  This time around, they had music from The Knocks.  They are, I’ve got to say two of the coolest guys I’ve ever met!  

What a better time to take COOL outfit photos than a beach party?  I spotted the night’s best styles in just a few seconds, from laidback hipsters to classically CHIC looks.

This is what fashion was all about: great people, great music and a hippie van!  It was a perfect Saturday getaway…
