The East African coast is filled with vibrant colors, from the endless
conversation of contrasting colors to the bold tango dancers... all embedded
with words on wisdom inscribed into the fibers. It’s a journey from long ago, when women celebrated their
colorful culture through these beautiful textiles. Thus the khanga came into
being… celebrated, loved, wrapped, cherished and passed on to new generations
as it injects its presence into the fashion world.
Handmade bangles made from both new and recycled textiles,
acquired from local merchants in Kenya, have been transformed into gorgeous,
vibrant and immensely colorful objects of desire. Celebrate this spring/summer season and beyond with these sunny
Kenyan accessories.

There’s something about hippie fashion that drives me wild! I LOVE the combination of fabrics, the
colors, and the accessories. It’s
all about peace and love… AND looking effortlessly comfortable.
For this shoot, I am wearing a H&M jumpsuit and a handmade
Christina Romero headband. I added
touch of color with my ring, also from H&M.
Designers like Marc Jacobs , Prada and Fendi started a trend this Spring-Summer mixing and matching stripes in a very FUN way. It is a very daring and bold move, I personally love the stripes and being able to mix them up with anything I can think of. It makes me feel like I live in a Coloring book, I jUST love IT!

For those of you who don’t have the perfect Spring/Summer shades,
take a look at the new collections of Oliver Peoples and Fendi or even the streets of Milan,
like the blue pair I’m wearing above.
I bought these blue ray-ban-esque sunglasses at the Duomo in Milan
and it goes to show how easy it is to pair high and low pieces to create a COOL
look.
I
personally am a JUMPSUIT junkie… I love them in all shapes and colors!

He created a beautiful color palette, mixing neutral colors with pops of

a touch of orange or red onto your lips.
