Saturday In Paris

Aww, Paris….. Between the Eiffel Tower, the Ladurée macaroons, and the Starbucks coffee, what more can a girl ask for?

My friends and I decided to go to City of Lights for Paris Fashion Week and ended up enjoying the quintessential French life.  There is something so special about this city, it just makes you want to stay there forever.

Just by walking around this ENCHANTING city, you can see that the French have a special look about them.  They look EDGY, but always with a CLASSIC and REFINED essence.  They mix a lot of high and low, like wearing a BEAUTIFUL suit with a CRAZY tie.

We walked around Paris for hours just breathing in the city and taking pictures.  To suit the occasion, I was wearing a vintage pink jacket, a H&M leopard scarf, and Converse white sneakers.

This was truly one of the most AMAZING trips of my life!  I simply ADORE Paris!  Stay tuned for more Paris photos…

Kalimocho Bar In VOGUE ITALIA

This is one of the most EXCITING posts ever!!  My brother’s and his friends bar, Kalimocho, appeared in the new issue of Vogue Italia!  I woke up this morning and went running to my nearest magazine stand to get my hands on that baby!

Vogue Italia selected Kalimocho as one of the BEST bars in The Dominican Republic.  So how did such a PRESTIGIOUS magazine hear about Kalimocho?  Sr. Federico Chiara, Vogue Italias Travel Editor, tasked Marian Balcácer, an amazing Domincian photographer living in Milan, with writing about the best places for Italians to visit in The Dominican Republic during Dominicana Moda.  And with the help of Saghíe Balcácer, who does the Public Relations work for the bar, she chose Kalimocho!

I feel so PROUD of the entire Kalimocho group!  Not only did the bar appear in Vogue Italia, but so did my BEAUTIFUL Dominican Republic!  In case you can’t get your hands on the new issue of Vogue Italia, here’s what they wrote:

“And also the bar Kalimocho named after the famous drink of Wine and Coca Cola, where they play the best international music and also Latin music, exceptional tapas and a swing in the backyard, it’s the best place to spend a typical Caribbean afternoon.”

Visiting Kalimocho is a MUST for you all!  It is located at Las Mercedes 321 in Zona Colonial in Santo Domingo.

------

Chanel Spring-Summer 2012 at Paris Fashion Week

Paris the city of love and magic!  I completely fell in LOVE with Paris and am so happy I was able see some of the AMAZING Paris Fashion Week.

The most ANTICIPATED show of Paris Fashion Week was, of course, Chanel.  I was ready with my camera outside the show to capture the AMAZING fashionistas and trends outside.  As expected, every one was wearing Chanel, from the SASSY headbands to the CHIC brooches.  What was unexpected though, was that some people were  already wearing pieces from the new Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

I didn’t get to see many celebrities outside of the show, but I did see my FAVORITE fashionista, Anna Dello Russo.  She was looking CHIC in a Balmain dress (from their new collection) and glittery Miu Miu shoes!

Chanel is all about timeless, classic elegance.  It shows how you can look FABULOUS and SIMPLE at the same time.  Thus I was wearing a classic black suit, a vintage white shirt, and a vintage Chanel handbag (from my mother’s closet).

It is INSPIRING to see how important Chanel is to the fashion industry and how loyal their customers are.  I can’t wait to see what Chanel brings to us next season!
