For its April issue, Vogue Australia tapped into the growing Gypsy trend and took us on the kind of fashion adventure that only they can.


Clad in patterned maxi dresses, fringed jackets, and cowboy boots, models Julia Frauche and Ruby Aldridge looked like modern, sun-kissed Romany gypsies.  The entire shoot embodies the fashion gypsy lifestyle: eclectic, beautiful, and free...


My favorite look is the Dolce and Gabbana bejeweled bodysuit.  That little bit of sparkle just gave something extra to this already cool shoot.  Which look is your favorite?

Rory Beca Spring Collection for Forever 21

A few months ago, I mentioned on the blog how much I love Rory Beca's effortlessly, chic designs.  Well, now I am very excited to see they've just released their spring collection for American retailer Forever 21.


This collection just makes me happy!  It's so light and breezy and I love the mixing of blues and purple with white... It just makes me yearn for the balmy nights of summer!

Outside Cavalli and Armani MFW 2012

Towards the end of Milan Fashion Week, the weather finally began to heat up but that’s not the only thing that did.  Bright colors, stunning outfits, and smiling faces made the end of this week bittersweet.

Among the crowd waiting to enter the Giorgio Armani and Roberto Cavalli shows were Anna Dello Russo, Sonam Kapoor, Elettra Wiedemann, Gaia Bermani Amaral, and a number of blogalistas.

Yet the street style limelight mostly surrounded Natalie Joos, who is a highly esteemed casting agent, creative consultant, and writer behind the blog Tales of Endearment.  Not afraid of what others may think, Joos wears outfits that fit her mood of the moment, always with a vintage flair.  Attending the Roberto Cavalli show, Joos wore a bright floral pink dress, black heels with black socks, and cat eye glasses.  At first glance, it was just a cute outfit, but when she twirled for the cameras, it brought a level of playfulness and sexiness to the look. (Note to self: find a fun and flirty skirt/dress for spring…pronto!)

1 Shirt, 4 Ways

I don’t know about you guys, but when I fall IN LOVE with a piece of clothing, I just want to wear it ALL THE TIME!  So here are 4 ways to wear that perfect denim shirt you’ve just bought…

1^st Way:  Stay CASUAL, yet CHIC on a Saturday afternoon by wearing your denim shirt with a long skirt, flats, and a neon accessory.

2^nd Way:  Combine it with skinny jeans and COOL pumps for a weeknight out!

3^rd Way:  For a Friday night on the town, your denim shirt will look so CHIC with a black mini-skirt and choker necklace.

4^th Way:  Mixing it with sequins (my FAVORITE) will make you look ready for the club!

Milan Fashion Week Details

The THN Milan Fashion Week Correspondent, Brianna, has sent us an update and some LOVELY photos from Milan. 

As always, it’s all in the details!  Here are the details I’ve been seeing inside and outside the Milan runways:

Envelope bags
Wearing more than 1 bag at a time (one large bag/one small clutch)
Ray-Bans (still in fashion J)
Accessory covers for phones/notebooks
Real or faux fur vests
The mixing of red, orange, and pink
The very-Milanese style everywhere

Everyone was looking amazing and ready for the shows, but we didn’t spot anything different or over the top.  There have been better styles before during Milan Fashion Week… wonder what happened this time around?

Milan Fashion Week

There’s a certain feeling that overcomes the city of Milan when Fashion Week begins.  For me, it's like waking up on Christmas morning, the excitement is just unbearable as I walk briskly down the street on my way to the shows.  

People are moving a bit faster, traffic a bit slower, but most of all, there is many more well dressed people surrounding me in the metro (as compared to the usual puffy-jacket filled crowd).  The weather may be chilly, but that hasn't stopped the fashion industry from invading Milan for the week. 

The John Richmond show at Castello Sforzesco had quite the mixture of people.  Bustling photographers fighting for the perfect shot mixed with confused tourists stumbling into photos and, unknowingly, standing next to fashion legends.  Ah yes, of course, the fashion trendsetters were there to give the world a sneak peek at upcoming trends and future “wearable” looks (some looks not so much). 

It being the first day of fashion week, there were lots of exchanges of hellos and small chitchat among buyers and member of the press while they were waiting outside the tent.  Other individuals, like me, enjoyed the observing the spectacle from a distance.  The mood of the photography was one of capturing these moments while not missing the fabulous fashion of course. 

Inside the show, the music by DJ Morgan was impeccable, creating hype as the models glided down the runway. The looks were nice but in my opinion, DJ Morgan, you stole the show.
